Carnauba wax, also called Brazil wax or ceara wax, is a vegetable wax obtained from the fronds of the carnauba tree. The wax is obtained by beating the wax off of the dried palm fronds and then refining it for use. It is used in: automobile waxes, shoe polishes, dental floss, food products such as sweets, instrument polishes, and floor and furniture waxes and polishes.
